Absolutely, Miguel, and admittedly my Medium page is still fairly new. But since I began to focus more on producing good writing instead of replicating viral content and trying to promote the hell out of it, my posts are consistently being selected by curators for featuring in their relevant tags.

This article is a classic example. I worked really hard on it, forgot all about promoting it, and now it has over one thousand claps because Medium staff selected it for featuring. I’m not breaking any records, granted, and 1K claps isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but my early articles were all clickbaity and trying to mimic a style that just wasn’t me. They all performed terribly. And now that I’m prioritising quality, the results are coming in.

Less watching, more writing — as you say. I guess we’d both getter get back to work!
