Agreed. When we restrict ourselves to such an extent, abstaining from a particular behaviour, as soon as that period of abstention is up we just fall right back into our old habits. It’s exactly why so many diets fail — we fight hard against our cravings for a set period of time and then submit our boundaries once that time is up, returning to our junk-food-filled lives.
